A few grade 9-10 sketchbook pieces (AVI1O-AVI2O)

I just took a few pictures of pieces from this week's sketchbook entries.  I giggled when I found the stipple portrait on the side of one student's page :)

Grade 12 Encaustic Paintings (AVI4M)

Here are paintings that two of my grade 12 students recently completed as part of their portfolios.  Encaustic is heated wax.  Truthfully, I need to take some lessons to learn how to use the medium properly- these ladies learned from YouTube and then experimented with their own styles as well.  I can tell you from a bit of practice that it's harder than it looks!
I can get lost in the layers and swirls of these paintings... I hope you do too!

Grade 9-10 Lino Block Prints (AVI1O-AVI2O)

Here are some grade 9-10 lino block prints.  The students used photographs as inspiration for their work and then created their own plans to show three layers of colours and textures. I took these pictures with my phone so the quaility could certainly be better, but you get the idea :)
Have a fabulous weekend! Ms. G-E.
*Note* some cropping occured when I took the photos- the actual prints are square shaped.
