Grade 9-10 Stipple Animals

The AVI1O/AVI2O class worked incredibly hard on their stipple animal pictures, more than any other class I've had.  The first two pictures you see took up to fifteen hours of dotting to complete.  A few are also incomplete, but I decided to post them anyway to give you an idea of what they can look like at different stages.  Overall, these drawings show amazing possibilities with humble dots.

Grade 9-10 Faces Drawings

This group of students always makes my day!  What a great set of drawings.  Miss G.

Grade 10 Conte Drawings

Our grade 10 class was asked for their first drawing assignment to find two images that would relate together (to create a diptych) and to use conte (a combination of chalk and crayon) as their medium.  We're all pleased to see such great results from this new challenge.

We're back!

Hello artists of the world!
After a blogging break (partly due to a lost USB key with student images) we're back to show off our skills.
I have to say that my classes this year are some of the coolest, calmest students that I've had.  It's been a pleasure to teach such a mellow crowd.
To kick things off, I'll post some small pattern pictures that the grade 11 students created a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for stopping by!  Miss G.
